Midwifery Services

In addition to continuous care during labor & birth, my comprehensive services include:

• prenatal care following standard schedule

• postpartum care through 6 weeks

• lactation and nursing care through 6 weeks

• healthy newborn care through 6 weeks

• continued support in the event of hospital care
• daily hospital lactation visits in the event of hospital care

• 24/7 on-call availability via phone and email

• access to lending library

• access to community share bin

All-Inclusive Fee

$4400

I offer a 30% discounted self-pre-pay rate of $4400 to all families & keep my volume low to best serve you.  

Paid by 36 weeks. No down payment required.

In addition to all services, visits and labor care, my fee includes:

• all standard prenatal labs

• all standard newborn screens

• ordering any ultrasounds or genetic screenings

• second midwife joining us at birth time

• use of my birth pool

My fee does not include:
Additional personal supplies for your birth and postpartum, which can be purchased locally as a prepared kit from Radiant Belly.  If using the birth pool, I ask that you provide your own hose.

Payment Options

Insurance
Local HMOs such as Quartz, GHC, Dean and Physicians Plus do not cover home birth midwives. Some other companies may and if so, I’m happy to support you in seeking reimbursement from your private insurance and can provide you any documentation needed.  

BadgerCare
BadgerCare covers licensed home birth midwives. Woo hoo!  I gladly accept Badgercare and ask for $950 out of pocket for the things I cannot bill for, including an assistant at birth.  

***You may be eligible for BadgerCare in pregnancy, even if you were not prior to pregnancy. BadgerCare has a greater income threshold for eligibility in pregnancy, usually around 300% the federal poverty line.

HSA/FSA Accounts & Healthshares
Health Savings and Flex Savings Accounts generally pay for part or all of home birth midwifery services.  Healthshares and ministries generally pay for all services, and I’m happy to provide the documentation necessary.

Flexible payment plans are always available! No deposit is required when we begin working together.
